After finishing the Boston Marathon in 2018 in the cold, wind, and rain I realized that there was a huge flaw in most marathon training plans. Running is such a mental sport and yet every plan I encountered was purely focused on the physical workouts. However on mile 20 when my legs were giving out, the wind and rain was blowing into my frozen face, and I was absolutely exhausted, it was my mentality that got me through the next 6.2 miles.
